What if my name is spelled wrong?
Only you can change the spelling of your name on your certificate. The name on your certificate is based on the name you entered when you first created your Canvas registration, and if you need to modify your name, you will have to update your Canvas settings, then wait for the next round of certificates to be released.
To update your settings, click Account in the Canvas navigation, then Settings. You will be asked to enter your password. Once you are into your settings, you will see that Canvas actually stores three versions of your name; the important one for your certificate is your "full name", but check them all. If you need to make changes, click Edit Settings at the bottom of the page or in the right column (depending on your window width). Remember to save your settings when you are done.
Again, your name will be updated when the next round of certificates is released. Keep an eye on the "database last updated" note above.
