ORTHOGRAPHIC PROJECTION

The activity is intended for online students learning the basics of engineering drawing (or technical drawing). The activity is centered around 3 videos which give an explanation of Principle planes, quadrants and orthographic projections. It further compares 1st and 3rd angle orthographic projections. Two worksheets are used to test student understanding. The first is a simple worksheet while the second is slightly advanced. A discussion forum needs to be created in this activity to allow discussion between students and teacher. Visualization and spatial relationships are important concept for engineers and normally we prefer to teach such things face to face. However online mode makes the content available to students in other countries of our region who cannot come over for face to face study. I have made the videos myself and they are available free for use by other academics but its quality and animation are limited to my crude video making skills.
